This page has your assignments. Any readings or links will be on the Readings page.

For September 8: Read your syllabus and write down 2-3 questions or comments
Read Linda Hogan's "Walking"  and write a short response.
                                     1. Hogan is very observant during her walking. Find a quote that demonstrates an observation and                                                       explain why you chose that quote--what appeals to you?
                                     2. How does Hogan interact with her surroundings? What makes them so meaningful to her?
                                     3. What do you find as significant about the reading? Why?

For September 15: Between now and next Tuesday, take a walk around your neighborhood, your yard, a park--where ever you are able to and carefully observe. What do you see? What makes you curious (an old tree, an old building, a sign or monument, etc.)? As you walk, or immediately after, write down your observations to share in class.

Watch "Where are you local?" and write a response.

Post your response on this Google Doc

Don't forget to order your book for Book CLub!
